Abstract

One of the weaknesses regarding teaching languages for specific purposes (particularly French) is the low number -or the lack- of books covering the needs in this field. This shortage can be overcome with the use of real documents that can provide a more usual and realistic context for the language being studied. This paper analyses several types of real documents that can be used (according to the degree of formalization) and approaches the different varieties of translation as a pedagogical resource to be applied in the field of languages for specific purposes.
