Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyse the daily written press, base on the regional information provided by daily newspapers of Murcia. The aim is to be able to catalogue information or news as positive or negative according to quantitative and qualitative analysis, based on the concepts of complementarity, disinformation, routine, professional and investigative journalism. The study looks at information concerning the same topic, as given in at least two of the three local newspapers of greatest circulation. Non coincidental news of a special significance for some of the analyzed variables is also studied. After analysis of the information we will be in a position to answer the key question: which newspaper best reflects the daily reality of the regional information?
