Abstract
During the 18th and 19th centuries, science developed to an incredible extent and became a real social event, which resulted in a substantial increase of scientifi c lexicon. In this context, we are going to study Sebastián de Alvarado y de la Peña’s work since he is a clear representative of Spain’s situation in the fi rst half of the 19th century, when the introduction of technicalities took roots in very diff erent ways in Spain, struggling between translation and lexical reinterpretation.Downloads
