Abstract

In order to check the existence of causative verbal infixes in Spanish, the most appropiate tool will be the analysis of a corpus with pair of Spanish original and derived verbs, sharing both the same base, before infixing the seconds one; and the verification of the semantic influence thus resulting. As a preparation to understand the development in the infix -iz-, a revision will be carried out of its Greek etymon, and Latin loan word respectively. A better comprehension and confirmation, of the (A) Spanish infixing, will result from considering this morphological derivational method in a couple of languges, one being (B) Indo-european Arian (Gujarati); and the other, (C) non Indo-European (Euskera). This verbal infixing morphological procedure is being considered in synchrony as highly productive for the Spanish languages, to satisfy the neologism demand in the communication word, mainly for politics and new technology applications.
