PROFILES ON LEXICAL STRUCTURES AND SOCIAL GROUPS IN THE BASQUE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA (CENTURIES XV, XVI)
Abstract
It is the objective of this work to try an approach to the study of late Medieval Romance lexical structure in the Basque Country related to the social groups. In recent years, the rich bibliography of Medieval History has contributed to specify those propositions; however, we should admit that there does not exist a clear, differential boundary between some of these terms we’ll analyse: the limits between them are too weak. This work constitutes only a first approach from the lexical diachronic we assume the risk of limited results. Nevertheless we believe it is worth it to try, transferring somehow the viewpoint from History to Philology.Downloads
