ALCALDE Y SUS VARIANTES: iNFLUENCIA DEL ÁRABE EN EL ROMANCE
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is double. On the one hand, it tries to prove the influence of Arabic and Romance on the medieval legal documents. The graphonomic, morphologic, diatopic an diachronic analysis of two words introduces in the Romance from Arabid, alcalde and alcaide, permits to demonstrate the intent of adaptation of arabic sounds on the Romance language (alcaldibus, latinized from due to the use of medieval Latin). On the other hand, this paper presents a great number of variants of these words. This article also offers first documentations of some of these variants and unknown forms of these words.Downloads
