Monograph
The Revista de Investigación Lingüística may publish monographs, whose articles address a specific topic under the coordination of one or more specialists. Regarding evaluation, the articles in the monograph are subject to the same level of rigor as the rest of the articles published in the journal.
Researchers interested in coordinating a monograph should address their proposal to the editorial team, including a brief presentation of the monograph (between 800 and 1200 words: specific topic addressed and its relevance, specific objectives, timing of its publication, etc.) and the expected number of authors, indicating whether the participation of specific researchers is planned (brief CV of each of them and summary of their article) or if the monograph is open to the research community.
The editorial team reviews the proposal and makes a decision on it based on its scientific interest. If the proposal is accepted, the coordinator(s) must consider the distribution of duties in the editorial process:
Duties of the coordinator(s):
- Establish a deadline for the receipt of original papers.
- Ensure the scientific quality of the papers before they are sent to the journal for evaluation.
- Verify the thematic coherence of the papers in relation to the monograph.
- Confirm that the papers follow RIL's formatting standards.
- Inform the authors how to submit their papers to RIL using the OJS platform.
- Prepare a presentation of the monograph once the evaluation process for the corresponding papers has been completed.
Duties of the editorial team:
- Ensure that the manuscripts considered are free of plagiarism or any other type of fraud.
- Submit the papers for evaluation under the same review conditions and with the same level of scientific rigor as the rest of the papers received: bouble-blind peer review.
- Based on the evaluations received, accept the work, reject it or request that modifications be made (minor or substantial).
Reviews
