Digital competencies in youth entrepreneurship: a systematic review of the last 6 years
Abstract
Digital entrepreneurship is now perceived as a key cornerstone for economic growth, job creation and innovation. However, there are several competencies necessary for entrepreneurs to obtain the maximum benefit offered by technology. The objective of this research is to analyze the digital competencies that have most influenced youth entrepreneurship in the last 6 years, and to know how they have been implemented in the process of entrepreneurship. For this purpose, a systematic review of 67 scientific articles written between 2016 and 2022 and published in different databases and languages is carried out. In total, 201 articles were reviewed, of which 67 met the predefined inclusion criteria. The results demonstrate that communicating, interacting, and collaborating through digital platforms contribute to business success. The recent pandemic has demonstrated the importance of being up to date and having digital skills that enable us to function in our daily lives
