Análisis de la distribución de género en la autoría de publicaciones científicas en el departamento de salud de Elche - Hospital General (2019-2022)

Resumo

Este estudo analisa a evolução da representação de género na autoria científica de 2019 a 2022 no Departamento de Saúde de Elche - Hospital Geral, mostrando os avanços persistentes e as desigualdades na ciência. Inicialmente, a participação feminina como primeiras autoras aumentou, mas depois diminuiu, evidenciando constantes desigualdades, sobretudo na liderança editorial. Observa-se uma predominância masculina nas autorias de encerramento e variabilidade na inclusão de género entre especialidades médicas, destacando-se diferenças assinaláveis ​​entre especialidades cirúrgicas e não cirúrgicas, onde estas últimas apresentam maior inclusão feminina. A pandemia da COVID-19 agravou as desigualdades pré-existentes, afectando negativamente a representação feminina nas publicações científicas. Embora a investigação liderada por mulheres tenda a ter um factor de impacto mais elevado, tal não se traduz necessariamente numa maior visibilidade ou liderança para as mesmas. É enfatizada a necessidade de políticas mais inclusivas e equitativas para superar as barreiras de género e promover a representação equitativa em funções de liderança e autoria científica, sublinhando a importância de estratégias específicas face às crises globais para avançar em direcção à igualdade de género no campo científico .
