Análisis de la distribución de género en la autoría de publicaciones científicas en el departamento de salud de Elche - Hospital General (2019-2022)
Abstract
Questo studio analizza l'evoluzione della rappresentazione di genere nella paternità scientifica dal 2019 al 2022 presso il Dipartimento di Salute di Elche - Ospedale Generale, mostrando progressi persistenti e disuguaglianze nella scienza. Inizialmente la partecipazione femminile come prime autrici è aumentata, ma poi è diminuita, evidenziando costanti disuguaglianze, soprattutto nella leadership editoriale. Si osserva una predominanza maschile negli autori di chiusura e una variabilità nell'inclusione di genere tra le specialità mediche, evidenziando notevoli differenze tra le specialità chirurgiche e quelle non chirurgiche, dove queste ultime mostrano una maggiore inclusione femminile. La pandemia di COVID-19 ha esacerbato le disuguaglianze preesistenti, incidendo negativamente sulla rappresentanza femminile nelle pubblicazioni scientifiche. Sebbene la ricerca condotta da donne tenda ad avere un fattore di impatto più elevato, ciò non si traduce necessariamente in una maggiore visibilità o leadership per loro. Viene sottolineata la necessità di politiche più inclusive ed eque per superare le barriere di genere e promuovere un’equa rappresentanza nei ruoli di leadership e di autore scientifico, sottolineando l’importanza di strategie specifiche di fronte alle crisi globali per avanzare verso l’uguaglianza di genere nel campo scientifico.
