Análisis de la distribución de género en la autoría de publicaciones científicas en el departamento de salud de Elche - Hospital General (2019-2022)
Resumen
Este estudio analiza la evolución de la representación de género en autoría científica de 2019 a 2022 en el Departamento de Salud de Elche - Hospital General, mostrando avances y desigualdades persistentes en ciencia. Inicialmente, la participación femenina como primeras autoras aumentó, pero luego decreció, evidenciando constantes desigualdades, especialmente en liderazgo editorial. Se observa una predominancia masculina en autorías de cierre y variabilidad en la inclusión de género entre especialidades médicas, destacando diferencias notables entre especialidades quirúrgicas y no quirúrgicas, donde las últimas muestran mayor inclusión femenina. La pandemia de COVID-19 exacerbó las desigualdades preexistentes, afectando negativamente la representación femenina en publicaciones científicas. Aunque las investigaciones lideradas por mujeres tienden a tener un mayor factor de impacto, esto no se traduce necesariamente en mayor visibilidad o liderazgo para ellas. Se enfatiza la necesidad de políticas más inclusivas y equitativas para superar barreras de género y promover una representación equitativa en roles de liderazgo y autoría científica, subrayando la importancia de estrategias específicas ante crisis globales para avanzar hacia la igualdad de género en el ámbito científico.
