Resources for authors

Template for authors

We provide an editable Word template for researchers interested in publishing with the journal, where you can write your article or paste it (maintaining the original format, which can be done by using the “Keep Text Only” option when pasting). In addition, there are various examples in it to guide you while writing your article. This template can be consulted here: Template for authors (Plantilla para autores/as).

Template for themed sections

Proposals for themed sections must follow these rules: Instructions for themed sections (Normas para monográficos).

APA guidelines model

The journal uses the latest version of the presentation, citation and referencing system of the American Psychological Association (APA): The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. We provide a quick guide for authors, which compiles the same elements contained in the template for authors in a briefer form. APA Guidelines (7th ed.) ( Normativa APA (7.ª ed.)).

Certificate of originality

Authors are asked to sign the following Originality and copyright declaration (Declaración de originalidad y de derechos de autor), certifying that the work is original and unpublished and has not been published in any other format and is not in the process of being published by any other journal or in any other place. Likewise, authors undertake to disseminate their article on one or more of the recommended social networks (see the “Social networks for academic dissemination” section).

Antiplagiarism programs

Educatio Siglo XXI is dedicated to the dissemination of academic works that are original and unpublished and have not previously been published anywhere else, either partially or completely (or are in the process of evaluation elsewhere), with the aim of offering innovative and up-to-date academic contributions. Therefore, we strongly recommend that authors use an antiplagiarism program before submitting their articles. Online alternatives include:

Social networks for academic dissemination

The journal is especially interested in actively disseminating the academic knowledge it creates. Therefore, we ask that authors share their articles on a social network for researchers once we have published them. This will not only make the author’s work more visible, but will also mean the author can connect to other researchers with similar interests and share knowledge and academic works regarding the discipline.

In addition, Educatio Siglo XXI will disseminate authors’ works on social networks where it has a presence. At present, we post regularly on Twitter (https://twitter.com/EducatioSXXI) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/educatiosigloxxi/) .
