Abstract

For the corrections of University entrance examinations, in this case in the area of Mathematics Applied to Social Science, there is one coordinator and several markers, Secondary and University teachers, who are Mathematics specialists. In order to check whether there are differences in the exams corrections, two evaluators are chosen to correct different groups of examinations and, when students appeal for revision, one set of these exams, which have already been corrected by several evaluators, is corrected again by another evaluator different from the previous ones. In view of studies that show that there are differences in the results, we have verified that in the University of Murcia’s June 2014 examinations there are no significant differences in the results of the two evaluators who correct different sets, nor even when other evaluators correct the same set and this is again corrected by a new teacher. In the analysis of the questions, from the two options that the students can choose, those of probability and contrast of hypothesis have proved to be the most difficult to solve. The students failed in the four groups corrected and in the total examination.
