The digitized curriculum: voices and silences in the publishing field
Abstract
This study explores the position of some of the publishing houses in the Valencian Community regarding the migration of textbooks towards digitized formats. A mixed methodology is used to analyse the three dimensions involved — the technological, the educational and the commercial — through a series of interviews, surveys, groups of discussion and analyses of documents. Among the results achieved, it is important to point out the heterogeneity of formats, media and brands involved; the need for pedagogical advisory teams in the publishing houses; teachers’ competence on digital products and the editorial silence when it comes to commercial prospects.Downloads
