Natural learning, the best way to approach the heritage
Abstract
The article reviews the concept, definition and characteristics of informal learning. A reflection on the meaning of informal learning in the areas of heritage presentation, museums and heritage education is undertaken. Scientific literature and the principal authors who have written on the subject are reviewed. This review is based on the general principles of learning and on major learning theories. A critical view of teaching and education from the perspective of the learning sciences is implemented.
The study of learning and cognitive load theory are proposed as a means to improve the effectiveness of learning and education through the contexts of museums and heritage presentation.
