Abstract

This article analyses the level of linguistic competence achieved by 4th Grade Primary School students in the province of León. The research study aims to assess the effect that the implementation of key competency-based learning might have had in school curricula. The studied categories are: influence of the teacher, grammar, reading habits, gender, oral expression, creativity, influence of ICT, and type of centres. The results are coincidental with other investigations in some categories although there are discrepancies with others.
