Benefits of m-learning in higher education
Abstract
Mobile devices are a new media support and challenge to educational approaches in three dimensions: spatial, temporal and social. However, the possibilities of these resources in education have hardly been studied. This research identifies the salient features of mobile devices and the benefits to be gained in the development of competence in higher education, taking into account the potential of these devices. The goal is to make an application catalogue of mobile devices used by young people between the ages of 18 and 26 years in college environments in ways that contribute to the development of conceptual skills, application and attitude. The observation of the use of these tools indicates that potential speed and data management facilitates the integration in networks in real time, the addition of virtual identities and interaction with complex educational platforms. Application of this technology offers another opportunity in the spread of knowledge.
