Abstract

The teaching and learning process of science has above all a social dimension. However, the teaching of science normally deals with the teaching-learning processes applied to the classroom context. There is no doubt television is one of the most infl uent aspects regarding social changes. This fact should make us think about the possible influence television has on the knowledge acquired by individuals. All these issues are to be considered not only as an educative requirement for the citizen´s upbringing but also as possible means to be applied in the classroom context.
