The Competencies System at University: Student Effort and Student Satisfaction
Abstract
Bologna is already a reality in the Spanish universities. In order to adapt the system to new Syllabi we have put into action pilot programmes. Now we need to know if teachers and students have taken maximum advantage of them. In this paper we analyze the results of the research carried out by a group of lectures from the School of Economics the San Pablo CEU University about the satisfaction levels of students with the teaching method based on competences as well as the effort, measured in study hours, that they claim to carry out. The main objective is to serve as an experience for other educational teams and universities to improve the educational planning and to know the student’s effort in a subject and in an academic year.
