Research in Mathematic Education
Abstract
We consider the 1970s to mark the beginning of research into mathematics education in Spain. In the present study, we note various historical situations that led to there being progress in this field of research, and which allow one to understand the situation today. At the same time, we provide information that may be useful for those whose focus is mathematics teaching and learning at different educational levels, indicating the different researchers involved and the topics they have approached, and giving specific literature references to assist those who are just beginning their research in this area as a first guide to their more in-depth inquiries.
