Abstract

In this paper we analyze the recent changes related to teaching and research evaluations in the Spanish university education system. The constant legislative changes implied modifications that make the university professional career more difficult. However, these changes do not guarantee the quality they try to achieve. In this sense, we focus on two types of evaluations. On one hand, the evaluation for wage supplements, centred on both teaching and research evaluation. On the other hand, the evaluation for promotion where new terms come up, as for example habilitation or accreditation for new academics, contracted and tenured, and where is established a double and sometimes triple evaluation in order to access to different academic positions.
