Abstract

The family is the educational nucleus of the society. The family develops one of its essential functions in the education of its members; it is an educational epicentre.
The history of the family has been submitted to a dynamic change from its origins, from the prehistory to the present day. The first family organization was the original community, later new forms of family appeared. The family education has existed in every culture in one way or another, as education lacks of refinement. In the article we show the historical stages of the family education, its aims, the role of the family, and we finish with the family education as project of future.
