Abstract

Although Wittgenstein did not develop a systematic conception on learning and education, he has understanding of them which can be seen by the way ha acted, as well as by his works on meaning. In his first philosophy, he stresses the importance of moral commitment in the domain of action. By means of this commitment Wittgenstein´s work as teacher in Lower Austria can be understood. At the same time, in his Second Philosophy, we can see that when we learn how to use language, we get progressively involved in a way of behaving and a view of things. The importance of trust that child has on the adult makes the teaching develop progressively. By assimilatiing those patterns we act and move become something essential to us. Therefore, education is basic for us to be in contact with the world as well as to know who and what we are.
