Viabilidade do Protocolo de Treinamento em Imagens Motoras (PTIM) aplicado a um grupo de atletas de esportes individuais. Estudos de caso
Resumo
O objetivo do estudo foi examinar o efeito do Protocolo de Treinamento em Imagens Motoras (PTIM) em um grupo de atletas de esportes individuais. Os participantes foram 8 atletas com experiência em eventos do Ciclo Olímpico, com idades entre 20 e 31 anos (M = 26 anos, DP = 4.34). O delineamento foi longitudinal simples com medidas repetidas intra-sujeito. Durante a aplicação do PTIM, as medidas foram obtidas por meio da autoavaliação dos atletas sobre a qualidade das características das imagens motoras recriadas. Além disso, a habilidade de imaginar foi avaliada por meio do SIQ (Hall et al., 1998, adaptado por Ruiz e Watt, 2014), aplicado nos seguintes momentos: a) antes da aplicação do PTIM, b) após a conclusão do PTIM, c) 15 dias após a aplicação do PTIM e, d) 30 dias após a aplicação do PTIM. Os resultados mostraram que a magnitude do tamanho do efeito individual (d-Cohen) do PTIM em relação à habilidade de recriar imagens motoras apresentou índices classificados de "nenhum" a "superior". Da mesma forma, o tamanho do efeito do PTIM sobre a habilidade psicológica de imaginar foi calculado por meio do Percentual de Dados Não Sobrepostos (PND), identificando efeitos nos participantes categorizados entre "eficácia questionável" e "muito eficaz". Em suma, discutiu-se a viabilidade do uso do PTIM em referência às diferenças individuais na habilidade de recriar as características das imagens motoras, juntamente com o desenvolvimento e a manutenção da habilidade de imaginar ao longo do tempo.
