Ansiedade nos atletas universitários durante a quarentena pela COVID-19
Resumo
Um novo vírus chamado COVID-19, começou a se espalhar em Wuhan (China) desde o final de 2019 e agora é encontrado em todo o mundo. Esse vírus, além de aumentar o risco de morte por infecção, também aumenta a pressão psicológica sobre a humanidade. As amostras foram coletadas de estudantes universitários das diferentes faculdades da UANL, usando amostragem por cluster, que respondeu a uma bateria de questionários que incluíam a Escala de Transtorno de Ansiedade Generalizada de 7 itens (GAD-7) e aqueles que perguntavam sobre as informações básicas dos participantes. Recebemos 2,152 respostas. Os resultados indicaram que 0,7% dos entrevistados experimentaram ansiedade grave, 2,8% ansiedade moderada e 20,9% ansiedade leve. Além disso, os fatores Viver em áreas urbanas (OR = 821, IC 95% = 0,708 - 0,925), Estabilidade da renda familiar (OR = 725, IC 95% = 0,663 - 0,815) e Morar com os pais (OR = 701, 95% IC = 0,595 - 0,955) foram protetores contra a ansiedade. Além disso, foi demonstrado que ter parentes próximos ou conhecidos infectados com coronavir era um fator de risco para aumentar a ansiedade de estudantes universitários (OR = 3,009, IC 95% = 2,380 - 3,820). Os resultados relativos à análise de correlação mostraram que o View Daily News of the Epidemic, o Home Office e Having a Infected Family or Known, foram positivamente associados aos sintomas de ansiedade (P < ,001). Por outro lado, o uso de videogames e tecnologias foi negativamente relacionado ao nível de ansiedade (P < 0,001). Segundo o estudo, sugere-se que a saúde mental dos estudantes seja monitorada durante a contingência causada pela epidemia do COVID-19.
