Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design a program intervention tending to modify the style atribucional toward a style related with the performance and to chek its efficacy, so much to modify the style atribucional as for affect positively the performance. The program was administered during three months to sportsmen, in the modalities volleyball, soccer and basketball. With post-test pre-test measurement of the variable independent attribution of sports causality and the variable dependent sports performance. The sample was constituted by the 15 sportsmen that presented low scores in the (IEALCD) sports causality place attribution Instrument, that indicates a style of external attribution. The results establish that after the application of the program, the experimental group showed improvement in its performance and a greater scoring in the causality attribution test, what indicates an improvement or tendency to internal attribution.
