POSITIVE WORDS AND IMAGES IN ANXIETY RESPONSE ON ATHLETES OF COMPETITION

Abstract

This investigation examines the effect of the presentation of words and positive images in the answer of competition sportsmen's anxiety, generated by the feedback of failure. 60
sportsmen of the city of Seville participated with an age 21,6 year-old average, divided by sex and sport type (singular or team). A personalized presentation was made of those of words
and images that evaluated as positive. To measure the anxiety the psychophyisiological answer of outlying temperature and heart pulse they were used. The results of the comparison of the different conditions with the analysis of variance of repeated measures, show that the temperature of the left hand is significant differences F (3,168) = 35,330 p = 0,000. In the temperature of the right hand there are significant differences a F (3,168) = 40,750 p=0 ,000. In the heart pulse there are significant differences F (3,168) = 48,378 p = 0,000. In the subjective evaluation there are significant differences F (3,168) = 56,560 p = 0,000. In conclusion the general hypothesis is accepted, since the individualized presentation of words and images positive sample a tendency to the decrease of the psychophyisiology answer of anxiety, generated by the feedback of failure.
