Abstract

The aim of this study is: Age and level of concentration show differences in the tendency to decrease anxiety as a result of the individual presentation of words and images positively valued in competitive sportsmen. The design is mixed with repeated measures. Attended by 32 sportsmen (4 groups of comparison). Psychipshysiological variables were skin temperature and heart rate. Irresoluble tasks were used to generate anxiety of failure feedback. In the combination of variables such as age and level of concentration, no difference was shown in the 4 groups, but only significant differences in the level of concentration in inter-subject comparison. The group of adults with high level of concentration showed a tendency of increasing temperature and decrease in heart rate.
