ESQUEMA DE CONSTRUCCIÓN, ORGANIZACIÓN DE TRABAJO E INTERACCIÓN CON EL MEDIO AMBIENTE EN VARIAS UNIDADES DE 2000 REPRODUCTORAS EN EL ÁREA MEDITERRÁNEA
Abstract
A decade has gone by since new models of swine production started to be projected following the Multiple Site Production scheme (Harris, 1986.) In 1995 we designed a project with these characteristics for the Mediterranean Area, with the aim of establishing a system for swine production on a comprehensive production chain, under "TOTAL QUALITY" criteria. Three years after the project began, we have evaluated the pros and cons of this scheme, and also established criteria for livestock valuation of this process. The experience has turned out to be quite satisfactory. The main objective of this project was to build and operate a swine production pyramid according to the multiple site system, so as to optimize human resources and materials, minimizing sanitary risks for the farm. There are no doubts that all these elements should lead to a significant decrease in production costs, as well as to an increase in the quality of the products.Downloads
