The aim of this article is to present an overview of Roman Age Archives as shown in diverse disciplines, such as archaeology, epigraphy, etc A trace is shown of the journey from the etymology of the term archive to the meaning of these institutions during the Roman Age. An analysis of both the archives content and their organizational networks is carried out
