Challenges to evaluate the impact of the Internet: The case of the organizations of the Central American civil society
Abstract
This paper presents the main methodological and conceptual challenges when doing research on the impact of the Internet on civil society organizations in Central America. It also presents a summary of the nine most important findings. The main purpose of this research, undertaken since the end of 1999, is to assess how technology has transformed civil society organizations and their ability to fulfill their missions.
