MOVIES AS DIDACTIC PROPS TO EXPLAIN THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRAVELLING AND TOURISM

Abstract

In the mark of the subject of Geography of tourism, leisure and recreation, the use of the cinema as didactic support, it is really useful to explain through film sequences, the processes that have happened in the development of the tourist phenomenon, in Mediterranean Europe and particularly in Spain. The intention of the present article is to analyze the contributions of some films that speak to each other in a direct or indirect way, of cultural, social, economic and environmental aspects linked to the development of the tourist activity. The consumption habits, the territorial repercussions and the value of the local resources are aspects that show throughout the analyzed movies and enunciated in the present article and that they will be an ideal complement to support the theory, as universities are already doing in degree Studies and master related with the economic activities and their relationships with territory.
