Abstract

The rearrangement of the European Space of Higher Education is the new paradigm for the teaching-learning process in the university field. The White Book of the Degree in Tourism, compiles the directives provided by different tourist agents to shape the new study plans. Within this framework, competences acquire a fundamental role, since their acquisition will guide the whole formative process. Our aim is to analyze the competence frame of Tourism studies gathered in the White Book of the Degree in Tourism with a double purpose. On the one hand, to determine what specific competence constructs exist within the competence framework of Tourism studies. On the other hand, to analyze further how linguistic competences, those regarding the ICTs as well as the specific ones for each professional field (hospitality industry and agencies) are developed.
