Abstract

     The Mediterranean riperian countries have been converted into the decade of the years 90 in the first world tourist destination even though go losing relative weight in function of the emergence of new tourist destinations located in the Caribbean, Oceanía, Latin America and Asia areas. In this situation represent an important role the birth of new tourist practices that imply a diversification of the offer of the tourist product. The result is the emergence of new tourist development models and/or the rehabilitation or readaptation of the traditional tourist centers. Between these new tourist development models emphasize the neo-resorts and/or megacomplex, the green and/or alternative tourism, the cultural tourism (cultural patrimony and/or monumental demand, congress centers, museums, festivals) and the health tourism (health - identity, spiritual and mental renovation, better physical form, sport, diets, stress centers treatment).
