Abstract

     In order to better understand the location originally of the city of Cuenca it is precise to know the geological history of its surrounding territory and the action of the waters, which are represented essentially by the rivers Júcar and Huécar. This process along with the zeal of its inhabitants during centuries has turned out Cuenca into an urban space of original beauty that has deserved the incorporation inside the list of World Heritage Sites in 1996 by the UNESCO.
