Abstract

     The Administration plays a central role in the development of the tourist sector so that this became competitive and sustainable. It’s his responsibility to establish a frame so that the tourism develops respecting criteria of sustainability, looking for the necessary balance between interests and actors and guaranteeing that the negative impacts that this activity provokes are minimal.      The principal aim of this article is to analyse the actions and decisions of the public sector of Panama that affect to the tourist activity. Also, there are evaluated the results and the perspectives of future actions.
