Abstract

In the article we will see a descriptive ethnographic study on different aspects related to the pig in the area Perín (Cartagena). It begins with a section on folk tales, set phrases and sayings, and place names. Keep talking about pork in folk medicine. Describe traditional accommodation livestock and propose a typological classification of them. Detail the production cycle of pigs in the study area and ends with a section on the feast of the killing. The party associated with the slaughter, the characteristics of vernacular architecture, and its ethno-medical uses, common features which are rooted in ancient cultures and archaic beliefs.
