Abstract

‘Campo de Cartagena’ (CC) is a natural region of great economic and tourist interest, the Region of Murcia. Main the economic sector is agriculture, which strongly is infl uenced by the problems of water shortage that there is in the region. Because permanent superfi cial water courses do not exist, the underground waters, waters of ‘Trasvase Tajo-Segura’ and the residual waters, are the main resources to satisfy these hydric demands.
