Subjetividad, Juego y Diferencia
elementos para una aproximación a la seriedad en el arte
Resumen
Este texto se ocupa del concepto de seriedad en sus dimensiones ética y estética, así como de la dualidad fundamental entre seriedad y no-seriedad en el arte.
Partiendo del enfoque posmetafísico de Foucault sobre el problema de la subjetividad y sus consecuencias para la fenomenología moderna, proponemos aquí una relectura de las prácticas y discursos con carácter lúdico – como en el caso emblemático del juego y, en gran medida, también de la expresión artística.
La seriedad de los discursos se relaciona siempre con alguna forma de realismo, incluso en el arte, ya sea desde la perspectiva ética o estética. Pero el problema del arte no se agota con el cuestionamiento de su seriedad. El arte, en cuanto discurso performativo, tiende a emanciparse del realismo – o, al menos, de las concepciones más ingenuas del realismo – abriéndose a la subjetividad.
En este sentido, podemos señalar una relación tensional entre seriedad y subjetividad (o subjetivación) en el contexto del arte. La experiencia estética, entendida como propósito del arte, no solo admite sino que depende de esa relación tensional.
