Contemporary Art in a time of climate urgency. Study of approximations
Abstract
All the index that predicted a rapid climate change due to global warming caused by greenhouse gases resulting from the burning of fossil fuels by human machinery have been fulfilled. This 21st century, probably inaugurated in a market in Wuhan, is facing a major challenge, as great as it is defining: to build a world without CO2 emissions before 2050 to mitigate, not stop, a process that, if not If the climate goals are met, it would spell the end of civilization as we know it. With the support of some interesting exhibition projects held in the last five years, this study approaches the proposals of some current creators in the face of an emergency of unprecedented proportions.
