ICT Mythology in Society and Education
Abstract
Due to the current mass incorporation of ICT in the society it is necessary to reflect on some statements that, largely widespread but without being specified, are made on these technologies. This work intends to raise some questions related to teaching, which are not usually taken into account.
The starting point is that ICT by themselves can not produce the changes, especially in teaching. These technologies must be considered in a broader context in which we can appreciate their functions and utility, allowing to put into practice their strengths. For this reason we will have to create previously the suitable conditions for it.
Talking about ICT in teaching without any relation and providing them with virtues that they lack is like having found the balm of Fierabras.
