Abstract

This article describes the special education teachers´ functions which have been defined by a new legislation in Spain. These professionals are specialized in attending students ‘special educative needs in ordinary schools. On one hand, we analyses the contradictions between their functions from inclusive and curricular perspectives. On the other hand, we reflect about the training that these teachers are receiving nowadays.
