University Lecturers and ICTs: Availability and Training
Abstract
The arrival of the New Technologies in the University has had a slow and controversial path. In this article the main ideas for its development and implementation in the Spanish Universities are revised. For that purpose we have gathered the contributions of different researchers and programmes affecting its development. In the empirical part two key indicators for this knowledge are taken into account: On the one hand, the existence and availability of the technology and, on the other hand, the training of teachers on the pedagogical use of these technologies. The research refers to the Universities of Castilla y León.
