Abstract

Today, voluntary actions are geared not only to cover mainly the basic needs of our environment, but to satisfy vested interests much more diverse and heterogeneous, reaching its interventions more complex and interactive space with other actors in society. According to Gil García (1990), regarding the amount and diversity of activities and opportunities for intervention we must not forget the quality of the performances, so that adequate training is necessary in order to take concrete initiatives and actions, trying to meet that demand in an effective way. In recent studies on voluntary sports show a sharp decrease in stable or continuous action in time, and this movement is associated with specific times, especially in large-scale events as stated Chalip, 1999. About the continuity in time researches in this area, rather than trying to predict how long it will remain a volunteer in the organization, which aim is to determine what variables may impact positively or negatively in relation to permanence. Knowing these variables enable organizations to implement effective management strategies that enhance retention and prevent the abandonment, through the implementation of measures to increase the satisfaction of the volunteers (Chacón et al. 2009). It is therefore necessary to investigate the proper management of quality sports volunteering programs. We detect a gap in assessment methodologies. The aim of the present investigation is building a pragmatic tool, reliable and valid for assessing the quality and likewise favours the permanence of the sport volunteer programs.
