Abstract

For some time, it was thought that exercise was a contributing cause of fibromyalgia, but is now increasingly recommended for patients the continued practice of adapted physical activity as part of the treatment. Different epidemiological studies there gathers numbers about 11 % of the affected population of persistent pain placing the prevalencia of fibromialgia about 2-3 % of population general, where most of the affected people of working age are women. We present here an exploratory work with women diagnosed with fibromialgia (N=42), belonging to an association of affected, where one arranged a descriptive study in three groups (practice of physical activity, psychological work, combination of both). We can observe, verifying the improvement of psychological indicators (anxiety and depression) that the patients with fibromialgia offer us in the measures of the questionnaires STAI and BDI-II (improvement of the indicators of the central trends of every measure) when they realize together physical activity and psychological work. It is advisable therefore that, at the moment of realizing practice of physical activity with a therapeutic exposition, the persons who suffer fibromialgia, have information about the positive or negative affectation that can offer him the practice of exercise adapted to his limitations, finding indicators like that succeeded for his own psychological autorregulación that could be trained by means of the psychological work.
