Abstract

The aim of the study is to examine the relationships between self-determination variables and dispositional flow in classical and contemporary dancers. Therefore, we use a sample of 48 dancers from classical dance and 48 dancers from contemporary, belonging to different Spanish school of dances. We used different instruments to assess self-determined motivation, satisfaction of the psychological needs and Flow State. Results showed that dancers with higher self-determined motivation and greater satisfaction of their affiliation will have a higher disposition to experience Flow State.
