Abstract

The physical activities related to the tourism were understood, traditionally, as a complement to the offer of the Sun and beach. At present this conception is still in force partly, since, at the moment of planning our free time or vacations, not only we choose a destination depending on a few particular characteristics or looking for a place for the rest, which today is claimed is that the tourist chosen destination, in addition, offers us another type of activities. But not only as complementary character to the destination, but there exists a segment of the tourist market where the practice of physical activities is one of the principal motivations. It is what in the most commercial slang is known in different ways and that we claim as Active Tourism and that is one of the niches of the tourist market that more is growing. But, which are the activities that compose this type of tourism?, what characteristics have they?, which is his structure?, which are most demanded?
