Validación de un instrumento de observación para evaluar la competencia motriz del alumnado

Resumen

El objetivo de este estudio fue desarrollar una versión abreviada del test de Desarrollo Motor Grueso-3 (TGMD-3), uno de los test más populares a nivel mundial, y examinar su validez, fiabilidad inter-observador y de la herramienta de observación creada. Se analizaron datos de 217 estudiantes de primaria españoles. Se utilizó un análisis factorial confirmatorio para investigar la validez de reducir el número de habilidades del TGMD-3, así como el índice de correlación intraclase para analizar la fiabilidad de las personas observadoras y la consistencia interna del test. Asimismo, se empleó la Teoría de la Generalizabilidad para valorar tanto la fiabilidad de las personas observadoras como de la herramienta de observación, siendo ambos tipos de análisis complementarios. La versión corta del TGMD-3 con seis habilidades presenta índices adecuados de validez factorial confirmatoria, consistencia interna, fiabilidad inter-observador y calidad de los datos obtenidos con la herramienta de observación que cuenta con categorías exhaustivas y mutuamente excluyentes. A partir de estos datos, las personas investigadoras y profesionales de la educación disponen de una versión corta, válida y fiable del TGMD-3 para la evaluación de la competencia motriz en población española infantil, que posibilita su uso en futuros trabajos con fines de detección niveles de desarrollo motor típico o atípico, así como para medir su evolución a lo largo de la etapa.
