Percepciones de los estudiantes sobre entornos educativos innovadores en la educación superior: un análisis exploratorio

Resumen

El impacto de los entornos innovadores de aprendizaje (EIA) en la satisfacción y los resultados de los estudiantes ha despertado el interés de la investigación en los últimos años. Muchas instituciones educativas, como las instituciones de educación superior, han rediseñado sus espacios de aprendizaje para mejorar el uso de las tecnologías digitales, las metodologías educativas y la colaboración entre estudiantes y entre profesores y estudiantes. Siguiendo estas pautas para la reconfiguración de los espacios de aprendizaje que surgieron para responder al desarrollo de las habilidades del siglo XXI, un espacio se transformó en una institución de educación superior portuguesa. En el marco del proyecto CreativeLab_Sci&Math, dos laboratorios de ciencia tradicionales se transformaron en entornos flexibles y tecnológicamente enriquecidos con el fin de involucrar a los estudiantes en su aprendizaje y mejorar sus resultados a través de metodologías de enseñanza activas e interdisciplinarias. Este estudio preliminar tiene como objetivo identificar sus percepciones sobre los atributos de este EIA según tres dimensiones: espacio físico (temperatura, calidad del aire, iluminación, acústica, visibilidad, organización del espacio, mobiliario), tecnología (hardware y software) y pedagogía (metodologías de enseñanza activa, interdisciplinariedad, conocimiento pedagógico de los contenidos, tecnologías e interés por los contenidos científicos). Para ello, se aplicó un cuestionario a los estudiantes de una titulación que utilizan con frecuencia este EIA. Los resultados muestran que valoran las diferentes características de CreatievLab_Sci&Math, permitiendo identificar cómo perciben el espacio, las tecnologías y la pedagogía en esta EIA. Los resultados también permitieron identificar oportunidades y futuras líneas de investigación para mejorar la calidad de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje y el bienestar de los estudiantes de esta EIA.
