Abstract

By means of histochemical (ATPase) and morphometric techniques. cross-sections of tibialis cranialis and flexor digitorum lateralis muscles of mature dogs were analyzed. In addition to the fibrillar types usually found in this species (I, IIa, IIc), there are others whose histochemical characteristics allow to conclude the presence of type fiber IIb in these muscles.
